Living in a Santorini Villa

If you stay in Santorini you must stay in a villa. It is essential to the whole experience, similar to when you stay in a tree house in the jungle and a cabin in the woods, its all part of the magic. Sienna Resort is one of your best bets on the island. Located in Fira, just on the outskirts of the city in the countryside lies six luxury fully furnished villas. A quick ten minute atv ride and we arrived at check in ready to start our vacation. Although not too far from the city, the villas feel a world away from reality. You can view the city in the distance and watch the lights twinkle at night while enjoying peace and tranquility.

Checking In

We stayed here for three nights as an end to our summer euro trip. This villa allowed us to completely relax and enjoy ourselves one final time before flying home. Our villa came equipped with a kitchen allowing us to easily make food from home without ever leaving. With an oven, stove top and fridge we cooked some healthy meals instead of eating take out every night. The backyard consisted of a secluded sanctuary with a private pool, and outdoor seating areas. After living here for three nights I definitely didn’t want to leave by the end. This place was absolute paradise- I can see why everyone keeps on coming back to Santorini.

The Villa

Our villa had two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a family room- which was more than enough space for the two of us. It has an open concept which has each room flowing on to the next. The style of the rooms are fresh and minimalistic. Decorated all in white looking clean and open. You don’t need a television in your room because there is a beautiful patio facing the pool right in front of the bed. Waking up every morning to sunshine and blue skies certainly enhanced the island lifestyle.

The Patio & Pool

We were so excited to have a private swimming pool that the first thing we did when we arrived was jump in and take a swim. It was easy to spend all day outside whether we tanned on the sundeck or had breakfast by the pool. Ryan and I took an easy for a couple a days and enjoyed paradise. It’s not everyday you can live in a villa with your own private pool and patio.

An enormous thank-you to Sienna Resort for hosting us while in Santorini.
