Paris Highlights: Climbing the Eiffel Tower

Paris is the city of lights and love. I’ve been dreaming to visit here for a while now and finally had the chance this summer. I absolutely fell in love with the city’s food, culture, and art. It is one of those places you just have to visit in your lifetime! The Eiffel Tower being the most iconic symbol of the city is not to be missed. This is a major bucket-list item that we had to tick off so we wanted to make the most out of it.

We decided to take a tour up to the top floor to witness the incredible views of the city and to climb a world wonder. We joined a tour with Memories DMC which included visiting the Eiffel Tower Skip the Line Access with Seine River Cruise. The reason why I loved this tour was because it included fast access which meant no lining up to purchase a ticket. As well it allowed us to visit the third floor, and included a cruise with special treat to be used whenever we pleased. It was the perfect way to spend the morning in Paris!

Our tour lasted an hour and a half which was the perfect amount of time. We first visited the second floor which had the best area to view the city. Our tour guided us around to each side of the city and pointed out some of Paris’s most famous attractions like Sacré-Cœur, Notre Dame, and the Louvre Museum. She discussed the history of Paris and showed us some unique spots within the city from above. It was amazing to see the views from up above. We had measured how far we walked around the city the previous days and couldn’t believe it.

Next, we took the lift up to the third floor which was glassed in. This was the best aerial view of the city and made Paris look huge! I loved this perspective as we were able to see far past the city’s boundaries. It was chilly up here as we were hundreds of metres up. Our guide informed us about the history of the tower which gave us a lot of insight. She also told us cool facts like with what colours it used to be painted throughout the years.

On the way down we stopped at the first floor to get one last peak of the city from a different angle. After a short visit we climbed the stairs down so that we could see the structure up close. I couldn’t imagine walking up the whole thing!

After back on the ground we headed towards the River Cruise on the Seine for a sighting tour of the city. We had already walked around a lot so it was nice to sit back and cruise along. We indulged in a Nutella crepe and watched the world go by. This was one of my favourite mornings in Paris for sure.

Paris is always a good idea

If you’re dreaming of the Eiffel Tower this is a sign that you must go. It was one of the most enchanting experiences in my life. I am still dreaming about going back. Definitely take the tour and learn about the beautiful city of Paris as you wont regret it.

What a great way to visit the Eiffel Tower – with a line skipping tour! I will remember that when in Paris next.

I climbed the Eiffel Tower in the middle of a thunderstorm! Made for great drama and a different sort of beautiful view 🙂 But you do have some great pictures here, and your cruise down the Seine looks lovely as well.
