Top 10 Rides at Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom has some of the best rides in all of Disney World. Within Magic Kingdom’s six distinct lands there are over 35 attractions and rides. Whether you’re looking for high-speed roller coasters, interactive shooting galleries, or slow and relaxing rides, there are tons to choose from here. I narrowed it down to a list of the Top 10 Rides You Must Visit at Magic Kingdom.

Top 10 Rides at Magic Kingdom:

Space Mountain

Thrill, Log Flume, Dark

One of the most popular rides at Magic Kingdom is Space Mountain. This ultimate thrill ride is the fastest and “scariest” ride in the park. You will travel in a space pod through different galaxies in total darkness. It’s like you’re traveling through space and time. Space Mountain usually has the longest wait lines so be sure to get a fastness or hit it up in the morning.

Big Thunder Railroad

Rollercoaster, Thrill Ride, Small Drops

Big Thunder Railroad is always the first ride I head over to when I arrive at Magic Kingdom. Frontierland has two amazing yet busy rides so its smart to ride these in the morning before the crowds arrive. Ride through the gold rush aboard a rollicking runaway mine train during the western era.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Water-ride, Dark, Slow Ride, Small Drops

Did you know the Pirates of the Caribbean ride came before the movie? It was the last attraction whose construction was overseen by Walt Disney! This water ride is nothing short of fun. While it doesn’t have a daring drop or crazy course, it is full of excitement and storytelling. If you’re a Pirates fan you’ll enjoy the characters and scenery as basically looks like the real thing.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Rollercoaster, Thrill Ride, Small Drops

The newest ride at Magic Kingdom is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and let me tell you it’s unlike any other Disney ride. It’s technology is amazing and beyond fantastic I can hardly stop taking about it’s animatronics. Once you experience this coaster you will know what I mean when I say it’s the smoothest ride I’ve ever been on.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic

After a long day of walking around take a break and relax at Philarmagic! This 3D show will surely blow your mind. Featuring all your favourite classic Disney hits and songs, it’s a classic you will fall in love with. It’s a Concert for the Eyes and Ears!

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

Interactive, Slow ride, Spinning

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is interactive, fun, and memorable. Similar to other rides such as Toy Story Mania, you’re equipped with a target fire blaster and are given the mission to defeat Zurg. Spin around and take aim with your space cannon, you’re on a mission to stop the evil emperor from stealing batteries from helpless toys. I usually ride this twice while at Magic Kingdom because it’s so fun- make sure to race between your friends and family to see who can get the highest score!

Splash Mountain

Water ride, Thrill Ride, Big Drops

Splash Mountain is a Walt Disney classic. If you’re looking for adventure, thrill, and excitement, then jump on Splash Mountain and prepare to get wet! Based on the 1946 Disney film, Song of the South, features Br’er Rabbit, a mischievous hero who leaves his home in search of adventure. Be prepared for the 50 feet at the end!

The Haunted Mansion

Dark, Slow ride

Tour through an eerie haunted estate in your doom buggy resided by “999 happy haunts.” Wander along with ghosts, spirits, and supernatural surprises, but be careful not to outlive your stay. Whether you opt for the fast pass or wait in the queue, it’s interactive and magical to say the least.

It’s a Small World

Water ride, Slow ride

It’s a Small World is “The Happiest Cruise That Ever Sailed.” This ride features over 300 audio-animatronic dolls in traditional costumes from countries all around the world. The main theme is global peace and that is clearly portrayed through the ride’s well-known song “It’s a Small World After All.” I love jumping on this boat cruise and spotting all the different countries and customs. This used to be my grandparents favourite ride- and I can definitely see why.

Jungle Cruise

Waterride, Slow Ride

Whether you ride on the Jungle Cruise during the day or at night, you will for sure spot some wild animals. Your jungle skipper is one of the funniest comedians in the whole park, they will tour you along the temples in Asia, rivers of Africa and South America, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for some majestic sights.

Ah such a good ride! Have you ever been on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith? It’s similar-ish.

It looks so cute with all those little dwarfs. I am a bit too afraid for most rollercoasters, but my kids will love it. I keep it in mind.

You would love this coaster then! It’s not too fast or too slow.

Very similar to Disneyland, where I live, except we don’t have the Seven Dwarf train. That sounds really cute!
