The Best Hotel in Mykonos

The Greek islands have been on my bucket-list for quite some time. I’ve dreamt of the sandy beaches, colourful sunsets, and clear blue water hoping one day I could experience it. So during our three-month trip to Europe we planned to spend three weeks in Greece to end our summer holiday/ Mykonos was the first island we traveled to after seeing so many gorgeous pictures online. We booked a stay with Bill and Coo, a boutique luxury hotel just outside of Mykonos Town. While researching we saw how many positive reviews and awards it had won, among being one of the best hotels in Mykonos. We were so excited to stay here!

As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the friendly and helpful staff making us feel very welcome. They even brought us a traditional vanilla beverage while we sat out by the pool to relax. How sweet is that? We were so impressed by the property within the first few minutes we couldn’t even imagine what our room would look like. We were surprised with our own personal jacuzzi on our patio which directly faced the Megali Ammos Bay below. The room was so spacious and unique we had never had a room like it before. With a tablet controlling the lights, music and air conditioning it never made it easier to leave bed! But in a beautiful location like this you just have to explore!

A Day of Paradise

Once we settled in and cleaned up after our long morning of travel we were ready to go out and discover the island. We took an afternoon stroll to visit Megali-Ammos beach and Mykonos Town doing a little shopping and sightseeing. We weren’t out for long as we found ourselves right back at the hotel. The sun was calling our name so we headed over to the infinity pool to take a quick dip and sun tan. You can order food and drinks right from the lawn chairs or dine at the restaurant right behind for lunch or dinner. We opted to have dinner by the beach at a cute taverna called, Joanna’s Nikos Place, which directly faces the water.

Sunset is one of the most incredible moments on the island. Watching the sun fall below the horizon here is magical. You can either enjoy it from the pool deck or even from your bedroom. We were lucky enough to have a room which faced the water which provided an amazing backdrop. The sky slowly changed from orange to pink to purple.

Morning in Mykonos

In the morning we knew we would be in for a treat at breakfast. Being able to order anything you want on their a la carte menu was the perfect way to wake up. They have tons of hot drinks, juices, smoothies, and specialty coffees. Ryan ordered an omelet, vegetables, and yogurt with honey. He indulged in his iced coffee while I opted for fresh orange juice. Being a plant-based eater I nibbled on tropical fruit, toast and jam, mushrooms, oatmeal, and berries. The food was amazing- I’m seriously thinking about it still now!

Bill & Coo has been one of the most amazing hotels I’ve visited all over the world. The staff, property, food, and views were all over the top. I can’t wait to come back here again to see another side of Mykonos.

A huge thank you to Bill & Coo for inviting us for a wonderful stay in Mykonos. #BillAndCooWayOfLife

The Greek islands are still on our bucket list. We spent a week in Athens but our 90-day visa in EU ran out so we didn’t have time to hit the islands. That hotel has amazing views, would love to stay there!
